MOT

A J Reynolds is your total MOT solution, no other garage in the area offers you so much.

                                             *Once tried, always used*

Our MOT Bay is approved to test Class 4 (Cars and vans up to 3000Kg) and Class 7 (Vans from 3001 to 3500kg) Do not worry about your vehicle being raised on a lift or tested in a small confined bay, we test off a pit, so your vehicle is at floor level and our bay is 80 ft long. Stretched limos, camper vans, large vans prove no problem to A J Reynolds and are tested in exactly the same manner as a family car.

Make your MOT stress free by knowing your vehicle is being tested by skilled mechanics in a modern, very clean and light workshop.

Have a coffee while you wait and feel free to watch the test from our designated viewing area, if unfortunately your vehicle should fail all will be thoroughly explained and the repairs can be carried out in the workshop. It will then be retested for FREE.

                                                         DID YOU KNOW?

Your vehicle can be presented up to 30 days before your current MOT (VT20) runs out. When the vehicle passes the new MOT (VT20) will be post dated to the date of the old certificate. This enables you to book your MOT at your convenience and allow time for repairs if necessary. Be organised and never drive a vehicle out of MOT again.

                                            THINK OF THE MOT TESTER

1 If the vehicle has a cherished number plate or there will be difficulty in defining its age,   bring in the V5 document.

2 Make sure the vehicle is clean and that all testable items can be properly inspected.

3There is adequate fuel, oil, PAS fluid, brake fluid and windscreen washer fluid to carry out the test.

4 Make sure all loads are secure or better still remove them for the test so that the boot space and lower seat belt mounts can be properly inspected.

5 All seat belts are present and not jammed under folded seats.

6 All doors, bonnet, boot lid, fuel cap and tailgate that are designed to open, do open freely.

7 A cam belt on a diesel vehicle is serviceable to carry out the smoke test.

8 The interior is clean, a tester has to look and feel around seat bases, inner sills and foot wells.

9 Not every tester smokes, so think before that last cigarette and the over flowing ashtray.
